About Acupuncture
A system of healing that has been practised in China for thousands of years, acupuncture focuses on improving your overall wellbeing rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms. A treatment that is often referred to as relieving pain, acupuncture is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Used as a holistic and natural solution, here at Nature’s Way Therapy we use acupuncture to treat a full range of problems. These include frozen shoulder, stiff neck, back ache, muscular pain along with arthritic pain, nerve damage, joint-pain and hip problems. Our traditional acupuncture treatment stimulates the body’s own healing response and helps restore its natural balance by inserting fine needles into the body’s energy channels - known as "meridians". This helps with blood flow and will improve the feeling of energy and overall wellbeing after only one session. Carried out by Qing, our acupuncture treatments are effective and can be used in combination with our herbal medication and massage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How thin are the needles?
0.1 mm ( the width of a human hair) up to 04 mm.
How far into the body does the needle need to go?
There is no particular depth but it can range from 2mm to 2 inches; generally it usually between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch.
What does it feel like when the needle goes in?
Normally because it is very thin you won't feel it being inserted; once it reaches the intended depth you may feel a tingling sensation or perhaps a mild ache.
Where on the body are they inserted?
You body contains 12 meridian pathways along which energy or chi flows from head to toe, and depending on your condition and what is being treated, the needles will be inserted into particular points along these meridians.
Why are they inserted?
Depending on your practitioners POV, it will be to re-balance the energy flow or to stimulate nerves, muscles & connective tissue.
How do you feel after all the needles are taken out?
Some people feel better, some worse; most commonly people feel energised but if they feel tired it means that their body is drained of energy, a useful diagnostic for the practitioner. If the session is to treat pain pain a certain part of the body, the pain in that area should be lessened.
What should I avoid after a session?
Caffeine & alcohol should be avoided plus also strenuous exercise.
